Website
Sorry, I know it’s been awhile since my last post but this update is going to be brief. I’ve been busy working on a new website and it’s finally up and running. I’m still working on adding a video and project section. Take a look at www.paulatrotter.com and please pass on any feedback. Thanks!

Chicago!!
I decided to take my time getting back to Calgary during my sixth road trip between Alberta and Ontario in the past 16 months. I only stopped to catch some shuteye on the past five treks so it’s been a nice change of pace to spend a couple days exploring a new city. I’ve been walking around taking in the views Chicago has to offer since Monday afternoon, as my poor blistered feet can attest to! The Windy City is a beautiful place day and night (FYI, I took the photo from Millenium Park)!! I’ve had a great time but it’s time to move on. Next stop: Winnipeg.
Last two days
I had an amazing summer working for the Windsor Star and feel very lucky to have been given this opportunity. I’m going to miss it here! My last two shifts took me away from Windsor as I spent a night with the Canadian Navy on the HMCS Ville de Quebec near Sarnia. I then rushed off to London the next morning to cover a press conference regarding the latest settlement received by one of the victims of disgraced priest Charles Sylvestre.

09/11/09 – LONDON, ON – Cecilia Annette McLauchlin (R), the youngest victim of Charles Sylvestre, looks on as lawyer Robert Talach (L) show a photo of McLauchlin as a child at her First Communion with the disgraced priest. Sylvestre first assaulted McLauchlin when she was just three-years-old but the abuse had ended by the time this old photo was taken. McLauchlin has reached a settlement with the diocese of London. Corporate Saturday
09/03/09 – WINDSOR, ON – The guys of local band Corporate Staruday survived a bus crash in March that ended their cross-Canada tour. They bounced back, however, by winning the Battala Rock Stars competition in Toronto. The band includes members Bobby Jacques, bass, Brendan Friel, guitar, Austen Renaud, vocals and piano, and Rob Raco, drums.(PAULA TROTTER/The Windsor Star)
